I’m a Lakers homer for sure so that is why I’m asking the question instead of making proclamations. Because to me, his development deserves more attention. I’m just wondering why he’s not getting more love.Lmao your either a laker homer or duke boy or his cousin
That’s not a bad thing for the Lakers, though. You can argue that he's not the best young prospect on his own team
Ingram has been playing point guard for basically the last month now. He’s averaging 5 assists per game over his last 10 games. He’s not a Simmons level playmaker by any means but he definitely isn’t an Otto Porter type.Ingram also doesn’t have to create offense for others he’s a play finisher like a more aggressive Otto porter right now. He will get better and I think he has borderline all star potential but yeah this year there impact isn’t close.

Wrong, Ingram been the playmaker this season.Ingram also doesn’t have to create offense for others he’s a play finisher like a more aggressive Otto porter right now. He will get better and I think he has borderline all star potential but yeah this year there impact isn’t close.
What’s up with your boy, Wiggins?I think he doesn’t get the credit or hype of some of the others because he didn’t light the league on fire as a rookie & also the laker hate plays a part in that now. His advanced stats also may trail Simmons due to the Embiid factor.
I think you could make a case he’s the second or third best wing prospect on that list. But it depends on what you value..he’s showing a lot as a primary handler right now which will help his development even more in the future. He’s impressed me a lot this year.
Ben averaged .4 more ppg on 2% better true shooting, that's literally the only place they're similar. Same scoring output with 2.4 more rebounds, double the assists, and over double the steals.16 ppg 46% FG 39% 3P 68%FT 5.3 rpg 3.7 apg 2.5 tov 0.7 blk 0.8 stl
Vs
16.4 ppg 53% FG 0% 3P (!) 57% FT 7.7 rpg 7.3 apg 3.7 tov 1.8 stl 0.9 blk
How is that not comparable? Ingram also doesn’t have an Embiid taking pressure off him every night. He also is way more clutch and reliable in tight games.
What’s up with your boy, Wiggins?
Can someone explain to me why Brandon Ingram currently isn’t considered the same level of prospect as Ben Simmons anymore? Ingram has comparable raw stats but the advanced stats lean towards Simmons for some reason. Why is this? My eye test tells me Ingram has a much more well rounded game.
Why isn’t Ingram getting more publicity as a future star? National media talk about the Lakers as if their young core has a lot of question marks (because of Lonzo), but Ingram is looking like he will be a Paul George or Kawhi type of wing very soon. His growth in production at his age and experience actually compares very favorably with George, Giannis, and Kawhi. And he won’t turn 21 until September.
How would you rank these prospects?:
Ingram
Simmons
Tatum
Wiggins
Josh Jackson
@Gil Scott-Heroin @Flight @Poitier @Malta
Outside of assists those are virtually the same numbers. That’s not even taking shooting versatility in to account. You’re acting like I’m comparing him to Giannis or Durant numbers.Ben averaged .4 more ppg on 2% better true shooting, that's literally the only place they're similar. Same scoring output with 2.4 more rebounds, double the assists, and over double the steals.
They're not comparable.
