see how cooked people's brains are :francis:

it's like hearing someone having a conversation about AIDS and the donations they made to fight it - and then you get offended and interject with "what about cancer?!?" :beli:

All these daily sanctimonious ramblings about pride, history, and an innate superirority to others, but then acting like jealous younger siblings over Carmelo Anthony. Can't with it.

I'd have to know the involvement of his father and fathers side in his life
I thought it was weird how Tiffany Haddish shouts out her Eritrean heritage when she grew up in foster care :dead:
Recently I heard that Jayden Daniels wears a Japan flag on his helmet cause one of his grandparents was japanese
unfortunately a lot of black people will gravitate disproportionately towards their non black heritage as if it elevates them

ITS A FACT MELO
IS HALF RICAN AND BORN IN NYC...

BUT MELO DIDNT START
CLAIMING RICAN AND NYC
UNTIL HE PLAYED FOR THE KNICKS.

HE WAS SIMPLY A BMORE nikka
SO I ASSUME HE DIDNT HAVE
A RELATIONSHIP WITH PR BEFORE THEN

TEAM USA GOT HONORED THAT NIGHT
AND MELO PLAYED IN ABOUT
3 OLYMPICS FOR USA
SO THIS REPPING THE PR FLAG
CAME OUT OF LEFT FIELD

Nahhh Melo’s always repped PR. He’s even had the PR tat on his hand since his Denver days.

Melo's father was Puerto Rican; there's nothing wrong with him acknowledging that. Also, Puerto Rican is not a race. There are Puerto Ricans of different races/backgrounds.

For example, the legendary baseball player, Roberto Clemente, was a BLACK Puerto Rican.

I know, i was asking why, Its not a nation, is a territory within the nation USA. its players are all us citizens
They're not a state, so that's why.

Also, some other countries choose to do similar things. For example, in soccer during international tournaments, England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland compete as separate nations even though they are all a part of the United Kingdom.

Further, even though PRs are US citizens, most Puerto Ricans don't consider themselves to be "Americans". They are very different culturally and linguistically from the mainland US.

Thats different. These are all countries though, they are just also sovereign states within the UK. they are both. Puerto Rico isn't

Same difference lol. Also, PR isn't the only US territory to compete separately (American Samoa, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands do so as well)

Other examples are British Overseas Territories (Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, and the Cayman Islands), which compete separately at the Olympics. Aruba competes separately from the Netherlands, and Hong Kong competes separately from mainland China.
