Look, CP3 is still one of the most skilled players in the game (and of the modern era), and is one of the best PGs in NBA history. And yes he has had his fair share of bad luck, injury-wise and teammates either not performing or simply not being talented enough. However, even in a vacuum you don't have the lack of postseason success that he's had and it be all down to circumstances that were out of his control. And like I said before it's not even about winning, it's about putting the team in the best position of doing so, which he just doesn't seem capable of doing.

If you dominate the ball as much as he does, you need to keep the tempo of the game and look to score, not wait around picking your spots.

:to: That makes me feel better. Honest critique.

@DIMES

Why did CP3 turn the ball OVER twice and foul Westbrook on a 3-pt attempt when they were in front by two posessions of the closing moments of Game 5 in 2014? :jbhmm:

Why did CP3, this ELITE DEFENSIVE, two-way PG allow Westbrook to shyt all over him in 2014? :jbhmm:

Why did CP3 only score 13 points on horrible efficiency in Game 7 at home against a lower seed in 2017? Why did he not take advantage of Gobert being out at the start of the series? :jbhmm:

Why did CP3 let a 19-pt lead slip, at the end of the 3rd quarter in a close out game (after being up 3-1) against the Rockets in 2015 ("Paul had 1-6 FG, 1 reb, 0 ast, 0 stl, 0 blk in the 4th quarter before he padded his stats with a 3pter when the game was over")? :jbhmm:

Where was Blake's help when he averaged more points on better efficiency than CP3 against the Rockets in 2015? :jbhmm:

Why did CP3 shyt the bed in 2012 against the Spurs, shooting poorly from the field (36% averaging 13 points per game) in a series sweep? :jbhmm:

Where was Blake's help when he averaged more points on better efficiency against the Spurs than CP3 in 2012 (in fact he averaged nearly TWICE the amount of points CP3 did)? :jbhmm:

Why did CP3 allow Billups (who was at the end of his prime) to shyt all over him in 2009? :jbhmm:

Why did CP3 only score 10 points and turn the ball over 5 times in Game 7 of the first round in 2011? :jbhmm:

Why did CP3 allow the Grizzlies to backdoor sweep his team (after being up 2-0) after he choked in Games 3 and 4 in 2013? :jbhmm:

Why, why, why does CP3 choke almost every postseason since he's been in the league @DIMES? :jbhmm:

Obviously that's too many questions for @DIMES' rockbrain to answer at one time, so just answer me this - why wasn't CP3 aggressive in Game 7 after he knows the pain of getting bundled out early in the playoffs, time and time again? He's been in the position many times before, so why didn't he act in accordance to what his team needed him to do in order to win? Why didn't he put his team in the best possible position of winning when the season was on the line? What stopped him from controlling the game/taking over? Why did he hardly ever look to score knowing his team had limited offensive options? What was he waiting for?

So I'm guessing nobody can answer why CP3 only had 13 points in Game 7, after he's been in this position multiple times before?

Why did curry only have 17 on terrible efficiency with 4 turnovers on his game 7?:sas1:

B b but:bryan:
You can't even answer the question. Never mind the fact that Curry has already proven himself in the playoffs, whereas CP3 fails time and time again. How pathetic of you. :picard:

Of course it simply isn't all on ONE player (nobody is saying that), the point is CP3 has more say than practically every other player on his team in regards to how they perform. His team goes as he goes, not only because he dominates the ball more than anyone else, but because he's the leader of the team. He's held to a higher standard than any of his teammates. Folk don't get to pick and choose when to hand out the blame/praise - praising him when the Clippers win and absolving him of all the blame when they lose. A lot of folks on this board have a hard time acknowleding that CP3 plays a major part in the Clippers' postseason woes, they seem to think that he isn't to blame at all.

Where have I given him all the praise for winning? Don't lump me in with a lot of folks on this board cause I ain't one of them
