Business success wise extremely successful because his company quicken loans owns the arena and he's never lost money on the team also when they won he didn't pay for the parade

By your logic and all...And the reason LeBron is "holding you hostage" is because your team and management had SHOWN they were HORRENDOUS during his first stretch there. If this were the Spurs organization or the Golden State organization, this whole "holding us hostage" thing wouldn't even be a problem. Did you hear the Warriors group being all p*ssy last season because Kevin Durant and Steph Curry could've possibly opted out and left in the offseason? No, because they, as an organization, knew they were solid and therefore had confidence/belief from that. The Cavs ownership knows it is trash so that's why they have no confidence in their ability to keep LeBron.

You're risking having to rebuild with Bledsoe and no pick. The potential reward would've been winning a championship. Your organization/team has been CONSISTENTLY trash throughout league history, with your main bright spot being when the guy who is "holding your team hostage" has been there. You don't think you'd wanna keep him around?
And even IF he leaves, and you're left with Bledsoe and no pick, guess what's gonna happen? You're going to be trash NEXT season and end up with a top 5 pick in 2019 anyway.

Yes Bron was a huge catalyst in the downward spiral the franchise is in but Bron was able to seize control because the Cavs have NO SORT of culture or figureheads to stabilize the team.
Even forgettable franchises like Portland and Indiana have more franchise culture, stability and leadership than Cleveland.
And that falls on Dan Gilbert. I mean shyt the Bulls had no success before Jordan and couldve caved like bytches but the Reinsdorfs had a dog of a GM in Jerry Krause and of course Zen as coach. They built up a competent and confident organization/culture that was respected by the players.
