The reason why the greats are great is because they made mainstream music without it being super watered down. Pac, Nas, Jay, Biggie, Kiss, Ludacris, TI, Trick Daddy, 50, Snoop, Ice Cube, Method Man, Ye, Drake, Kendrick etc all did

None of those guys would be as revered without their hit records. There’s been plenty of nikkax that couldn’t make a hit to save their life and that’s ok

Fivio barely has a body of work of music out and hasn’t sold any records. 800 BC was only 8 songs. He’s a good featured artist right now and hasn’t proven he can make a whole body of work himself. He has a solo Gold single (Big Drip), three featured Gold singles (I Am What I Am with Von, Headshot with Tjay and Polo, Zoo York with Tjay and Pop), and he got the Drake record.

East has a prolific work ethic and catalog of music. He has sold more records and made more $ than Fivi off the sheer fact he puts out projects often and does mini tours often. He has one solo gold single (Perfect) and one featured Gold single (Wrote My Way Out with Nas and Lin Manuel from Hamilton soundtrack). East got a lot of endorsement deals, modeling shoots, brand promotion, and plays Method Man in the Wu-Tang show on Hulu. East social media following is larger.

Fivi music is more popular than East but East is a more successful artist. Westside Gunn music ain’t as popping as Fivi either but he still more successful.
