I wish they'd overlay the dots with the city/county boundaries for the places i'm unfamiliar with... this is mildly interesting.

The big glob of blue is the actual city of Detroit.All of that other red and shyt must be Metro Detroit (cities like Warren,Dearborn,Sterling Heights and etc). This map is labeled wrong.The only significant "other" in Detroit is the Latinos in SouthWest.

I wouldn't even say the city of Detroit is segregated by a street or anything like this map is portraying.It's all nikkas.Metro-Detroit is indeed segregated as you can tell from that map.

I moved from NC to a suburb of Detroit (Novi) back in '98 for my last 3 years of high school.

The racial segregation in Metro Detroit is . My city in NC was about 50/50 black and white.

I thought Chicago was majority black. I see lots of cac neighborhoods. Unless it's just the metropolitan.

A few years after moving up here I literally moved from one side of eight mile to the other (in walking distance) and it was a whole nother point of view and demographic Now, everyone is moving out there to that suburb (I've moved again since then) and it's getting bad.

Metro Cleveland was the same way.

Watched this movie joy road last night on netflix and it showed much of the scenery of Detroit back in 2004. I'm assuming that it's only worse now after the recession and such. shyt looked like a nuclear bomb went off in much of the city...so many buildings falling over that I'd cross the street when walking by that shyt
