Ok. Please explain to us how his current rollout fits in how music does work now.
Music sells are purely based on how big your fanbase is and how interested they are in hearing new music from you.

The only songs that “work” these days are songs that trend on tiktok

This is why it doesn’t seem like there are any new stars in rap for “songs of the summer”

Everyone’s listening experience is personalized

This shyt finna flop so hard
Numbers wise? Nah. shyt might do 350+

Critically with all that he’s been through in the past year and a half; if he drop some bullshyt then there’s no hope for him anymore. He got all the motivation in the world to drop a great album now. He just has to mar that a reality which he’s been very hit or miss on since Views.

Yes, it's going to flop.

  • it's going to have too many tracks, which is going to dilute the quality of anything good on the album. but we know he likes to use this trick to boost his streams.
  • he's not going to get any of the extra pushes or nudges he's gotten in the past. that should be evident by the performance of all of the 'test' music he's dropped in the lead up.
  • he's not going to do anything he hasn't already done musically - he doesn't have a wave or a new artist to use as a muse.

The OP isn’t tapped in with what the culture’s feeling.

The streets are clearly waiting on pens and needles for the new Rick Ross, ASAP Rocky and Pusha T releases instead.

Maybe if he’s lucky he’ll have a Rapsody or Clipse-level of 1st week sales at best.

Kendrick shifted the entire rap landscape in his perfect image, and now only lyrical hip-hop is what people want. Same reason why the Ab-Soul and Joey Badass tour is the hottest ticket in town, and NBA Youngboy is struggling to fill seats.
