No, it's not.
What it would be like is me saying that "Suicide Squad" couldn't be trash & Warner Bros Studios couldn't be considered to have fallen off
Trash music dont sell
a couple hundred thousand saying they disliked it dont matter when we are talking if someone was falling off.
I need to stop you right there because you're combining two separate topics and it makes no fukking sense.
You said:
Which is categorically false. Trash anything does numbers. People have given you several examples.
Instead of gracefully accepting the L, you doubled down and said:
I never said jack shyt about Drake falling off. I said trash sells. And it does. It always has. And if you presented this argument about Vanilla Ice in real time circa 1990 rap fans would've whupped your ass. I'm not even joking.
To put a final nail your silly ass argument, "Transformers: Age Of Extinction" is sitting at 18% on Rotten Tomato and 32% on Metacritic. In other words, it's fukking trash. And it still did over $1 billion.
And before people come in here and spin the "Drake's music is critically acclaimed" bullshyt angle, it's not. His most acclaimed release is only in the B- range. His career average is C.
Fred.

You're argument that trash sells therefore Drake is trash is so bad that it's funny.I never said jack shyt about Drake falling off. I said trash sells. And it does. It always has. BothDepends what's next and who fills the spot. With that said,he made a HUGE mistake dropping views and more life BACK TO BACK. He needed something more street, between then (IYRTITL, WATTBA) . Plus I don't think he killed any street relevant features either.
No one is comparing Malcom X to Suicide Squad. You built a straw manYou're being dense just to support Drake and it's hilarious. This is like saying that suicide squad is a better movie than Malcolm x because it sold more. Everything is subjective in life, learned ears and eyes know when something isn't that great.
The Transformers franchise would like a word with you
A good deal of people think F&F after the fifth one is overdone and trash but they still make money
Hell most comic book movies are at least polarizing and still do half a billion.
So false.
Your argument is that entertaining the masses (who by and large aren't that bright/independent thinking) automatically equals quality. It doesn't. Eminem outsells 100% of the hip-hip field every time he drops but most of us wouldn't play anything he's done post-2002. Does his guaranteed Triple Platinum, in traditional sales at that, determine his quality?
Drake will do numbers for a little while longer but it does seem that his omnipresence/dominance is waning and part of that may be because his trump card was versatility and CREDIBILITY with that versatility. On top of that fact that he isn't hungry anymore.
Kendrick and Hov have expedited this feeling also.
