:dahell: No, it's not.

What it would be like is me saying that "Suicide Squad" couldn't be trash & Warner Bros Studios couldn't be considered to have fallen off

I need to stop you right there because you're combining two separate topics and it makes no fukking sense.

You said:

Trash music dont sell

Which is categorically false. Trash anything does numbers. People have given you several examples.

Instead of gracefully accepting the L, you doubled down and said:

a couple hundred thousand saying they disliked it dont matter when we are talking if someone was falling off.

I never said jack shyt about Drake falling off. I said trash sells. And it does. It always has. And if you presented this argument about Vanilla Ice in real time circa 1990 rap fans would've whupped your ass. I'm not even joking.

To put a final nail your silly ass argument, "Transformers: Age Of Extinction" is sitting at 18% on Rotten Tomato and 32% on Metacritic. In other words, it's fukking trash. And it still did over $1 billion.

And before people come in here and spin the "Drake's music is critically acclaimed" bullshyt angle, it's not. His most acclaimed release is only in the B- range. His career average is C.

Because I was responding to someone else who asked a totally different thing:dahell:

How you gonna combine my post to someone else's question with my response to your question.....and then get mad?:what:

Then you post Transformers rotten tomatoes & metacritic rating to back up you saying Transformers was trash.......so explain how More Life is trash if it has a 79% rating on Metacritic & a 4/5 XXL rating?:jbhmm:

You're not making any sense. There aren't any numbers that back you up. Just because you claim you dont like something doesnt mean shyt bc the majority of us DO like it....and the proof is in the sales, the charts, and the reviews supporting that point of view:umad:

"I never said anything about Drake falling off"....nikka, the THREAD is about Drake falling off:dahell: I'm attempting to stay on topic and tie all the shyt up with yall side arguments and you get mad about that?:what:

Stop it Fred:usure:

I think Drake has studied the genre well enough to know how to move to avoid proof of any "falling off"

I think he's gonna transition into acting or something before he gives people the opportunity to get tired of his music

So, until you have some #FACTS to back up your position about "More Life" being trash, you can either hold the L:abyoumad: or....we can agree to disagree:ehh:

The charts, the sales, the reviews are all in my side, but you, a known Drake hater, want me to think "More Life" is trash because you said so...... and disregard my own opinion of it NOT being trash AND the facts/numbers which support my stance and shyts all over yours :dead:

You're argument that trash sells therefore Drake is trash is so bad that it's funny.

Drake makes trash music according to who? The critics? The awards? The consumers? Take your pick:mjgrin:

Depends what's next and who fills the spot. With that said,he made a HUGE mistake dropping views and more life BACK TO BACK. He needed something more street, between then (IYRTITL, WATTBA) . Plus I don't think he killed any street relevant features either.
Both
Big amount

More life is double Plat. He didn't push More Life in anyway is why it seems like it pales to other works

You're being dense just to support Drake and it's hilarious. This is like saying that suicide squad is a better movie than Malcolm x because it sold more. Everything is subjective in life, learned ears and eyes know when something isn't that great.
No one is comparing Malcom X to Suicide Squad. You built a straw man

People watch different things for different reasons.

You can like Suicide Squad as a comic book movie and Malc X as a biopic

@hex is saying More Life is popular therefore it's trash because there have been entertainment vehicles he didn't like that did well.

And I'm with @Newzz you can pretty much say trash music does NOT sell.

People make music to be heard. Whether it's playful, lyrical introspective, dance based or whatever

The Transformers franchise would like a word with you
A good deal of people think F&F after the fifth one is overdone and trash but they still make money
Hell most comic book movies are at least polarizing and still do half a billion.

So false.

Your argument is that entertaining the masses (who by and large aren't that bright/independent thinking) automatically equals quality. It doesn't. Eminem outsells 100% of the hip-hip field every time he drops but most of us wouldn't play anything he's done post-2002. Does his guaranteed Triple Platinum, in traditional sales at that, determine his quality?

Drake will do numbers for a little while longer but it does seem that his omnipresence/dominance is waning and part of that may be because his trump card was versatility and CREDIBILITY with that versatility. On top of that fact that he isn't hungry anymore.

Kendrick and Hov have expedited this feeling also.

Transformers was panned by the reviews....More Life isn't.:ld:

More Life also sold 4x platinum and had 22 songs off the album on the Hot 100 charts.:dwillhuh:

Please explain how having great commercial success, all 22 of the 22 songs on the project hit the charts, and no respected review sites panning it = trash album?:ohhh:

Just doesnt make sense:manny:

Again, a trash album is "Teenage Emotions"...."More Life" isnt trash at all:yeshrug:

Both is Gucci's biggest hit ever and his first Plat single

Big Amount is the 2 chainz song that started the flute wave
Good looking out. downloaded that gucci tape and never got around to bumpin it.
Dope, dont care for the 2 chainz record though.
Despite this, drake should of kept his foot on nikkas necks
