Is Drake the biggest rapper/gangster rapper in the history of rap? [level 7 discussion]

Drake doesn't fit the stereotypical mold of a gangsta rapper, I get it. I used to struggle with the idea of him being a gangsta rapper and when I asked myself who would qualify as such, I noticed a troubling picture, my idea of a gangsta rapper was problematic.

Honestly Drake's run is scary similar to that of LL's 90'run.



Has the ladies on lockdown

Had his canibus moment with a lesser rapper (Pusha T)

Crushed someone in beef (Meek)

Knows how to make radio hits in his sleep

Got brolic suddenly

Is just a modern pop icon in general.

Can act and will likely turn to acting again eventually.


Likely I see Drake having a slow fall off on the 20's similar to that of LL in the 00's with a few flashes of his old self to keep himself relevant but still a gradual fall with a change in sound.

Most hiphop nowadays is HipPop. Its popular and catchy club/radio music that gets played in the mall.

I'm try to see everything in a positive light now, it keeps people happy so I'll leave it at that.

Im not a Drake fan but his legendary status is there wether I like it or not.

He played the game and won. But he never started at the bottom. Bless the ghostwriter that wrote that and/or the guy they stole that from.
