Sampling cost money. And in this era of lower sales alot of ppl aren't sampling....or at least not making it obvious.

I mean, there's plenty sampling still on mixtapes. Just not on albums.
Drake just has an audience right now where he can sample and still make a load of money.
Nas still samples when he drops albums. Jay Z does too. You're just looking in a vacuum. Of course trap rappers aren't gonna sample.
