Is Drake the only one pretty much keeping Sampling alive?

People saying that he's the only one who can afford it. Plenty of underground artists sample. It's usually a percentage, it can often be low. And you can get a preliminary go ahead. Some people are p*ssy though and charge insane percentages and that results in "we couldn't clear it".


Why only Drake? Kanye, Kendrick, Drake and J.cole are all among the hugest and use samples. Even Sean has samples on 50 % of his album.

Okay so one of the highest rated albums of the decade has samples that sounds weak?

Drake is my main duke but all of those albums I mentioned are generally considered to be better than Views.

Jay z ...Kanye and Drake are the few artists that labels will open up the budgets for in regards to sampling

Everybody else betta go hard with those keyboards and mac books :manny:

And where does that money talk regarding to sampling come from? Act like great underground producers don't use samples?
