Is Dukes Grayson Allen even a NBA prospect anymore?

So I remember at the end of last season he had all the hype. Like literally he was the next "great white hype": An explosive athletic and aggressive scoring white pg/sg from a major school with some marketability. He actually had fans. Now he's not even considered Dukes "star player". He's barley mentioned by the media unless its something bad. He doesn't even start games. Haven't seen him playing much/featured in Dukes offense like he use to (even though he still managed to have some big games:hubie:).

Seems like he has a target on his back by the refs/fans/media when he is on the court. Everyone expecting him to do something dumb again.

Everything changed since his tripping incidents.:manny:

Did he ruin his NBA stock. Or will NBA scouts look past this and still draft him in the first round?

Fcuk this kid. I really don't engage in the fake militancy that permeates this site, but THIS CAC personifies "white privilege". I actually heard Jay Bilas - who I NORMALLY respect - giving this punk kid a pass for all his transgressions, saying they "occur in the flow of the game". :stopitslime: They STAY making excuses for this lil piece of stool. He's a PUNK. I'd love to see him try that shyt on a PRO player.....

...but because his game DOES NOT translate over to the NBA game, he'll be forgotten once he leaves Duke. This kid's "pro career" is going to be NON-EXISTENT.

In the meantime, I'm just waiting on someone to Kermit Washington his face in:

I actually think he's back for his senior year. Just like Paige from UNC. You should leave when your stock is highest, and Paige and Allen both made the mistake of coming back after being the focal point in their sophomore seasons. Not saying either would have been a great nba player, but coming back to school definitely hurt their careers. Both players had injury plagued junior years, and Paige was hurt for alot of his senior season. Regarding Allen, he clearly hasn't been the same player he was before the tripping incident. Then when he came back, he tweaked his ankle, and is still nursing a sprained ankle.

It was not a "mistake" for him to come back.
Like all other stuffy Duke guards, being a Duke guard will be the highlight of his life...it's all downhill from there...

1. Nobody asked if he would have been a good NBA player, but will he even go in the first round was the question. After his sophomore year, he was considered a lottery pick, but at worst a mid first rounder. For him to come back to Duke, and pass up all that guaranteed money was a "mistake".

2. Kyrie Irving.....:usure:

Nah he'll still be late first round, possibly second

He's still strong, can shoot, and has great length and if he ever bothered to play defense with the attitude he has on offense (and period) he'd be a problem, honestly if I was him I'd get my draymond green on and just be an annoying ass ball pest

My point stands.
His current status is as good as it will get for him.

Kyrie wasn't "stuffy".

He's effective at the COLLEGE level. Grayson Allen does not possess "above average" athleticism or speed. He's mad average in those regards, and he's an average shooter, at best. He doesn't do any ONE thing "very well", and combined with his lack of athleticism that's gonna make his transition harder than he thinks.

Most importantly, not only is it questionable whether or not his "skills" translate to the pro level, but dude is a GRADE A headcase. He'll never survive the NBA as a POUTING CRYBABY, and if he thinks he's gonna punk some player by kicking him or elbowing him, well....like I said, Kermit Washington, nikka. ::martin:

Yeah you're right about that, I think he'll still get drafted tho, but whatever kind of attitude he'll have he'll get that shyt shut down quick, specially cause he's a cacs them nikkas gonna be skeptic of him from day one.......you right he might just get hit with that kermit
