Is Dukes Grayson Allen even a NBA prospect anymore?

Kennard will not make the same mistake
If he's smart, regardless to how much he might like being at Duke, he should leave. He was "featured" this year due to so many injuries. As good as he is, no way he scores 20 a game next year. Furthermore, teams still haven't figured out how to guard him. While I'd rather have Kennard back than Allen, I think Allen returns and Kennard leaves.

My point stands.
His current status is as good as it will get for him.

Kyrie wasn't "stuffy".

I'm not arguing his status will ever get better. I'm saying his status now, is lower than it was at the end of last year. So it was a mistake for him to return for his junior season. He will more than likely be back at Duke next year though.

Allen doesn't even start anymore

He should've left last year when his stock was high. Staying for extra years in CBB is not a good idea. You're losing out on millions

Alex Poythress from Kentucky stayed until his senior year to try to win a championship, and not only did he never win one he costed himself millions in the process :Holdupnow::Holdupnow:

and there's no way he won't stay at Duke next year.

I actually think he's back for his senior year. Just like Paige from UNC. You should leave when your stock is highest, and Paige and Allen both made the mistake of coming back after being the focal point in their sophomore seasons. Not saying either would have been a great nba player, but coming back to school definitely hurt their careers. Both players had injury plagued junior years, and Paige was hurt for alot of his senior season. Regarding Allen, he clearly hasn't been the same player he was before the tripping incident. Then when he came back, he tweaked his ankle, and is still nursing a sprained ankle.

yea if he came out last year he would've went first round for sure. And probably would've been making millions. Who knows how he could've done on the right team. I mean look at Tyler Ulis.

I agree, now its his senior year or bust. But Duke probably has some better talent coming in so he's pretty much an afterthought unless he breaks out during the tournament.

Side note: really impressed by Kennard. Dude is primary scorer in the clutch, handling the more significantly more than last season, and somehow shooting way better with the heavier workload. Scariest player on that roster in terms of the streaks he can go on.

Yeah for a lot of these top players their stock will never be higher than their freshman year. The dumb ones choose to stay and lower their stock even more.

High school hype and a lackluster freshman year that shows potential > a mediocre 4 years.

Kennard is the second best SG on the board right now behind Monk, he'll go in the 20s at the latest.
