Africa’s population increase will be a problem if the same governments are in power and the same policies. Let’s not pretend like it won’t. I know on the coli it’s a popular cac agenda theory but in reality many nations don’t have the infrastructure or a government willing to build one to accommodate an 30% pop increase in a short amount of time.

Depends on how food and waste is managed.

By no means is there not enough space...but we are extremely wasteful and destructive. It's not a space problem.

If the world doesn't adopt an American standard of living, we're good. We probably could support double the people. If the world adopts an American standard of living, we'll be fukked by 2100.

That being said, we need to reduce our consumption and change our consumption dramatically.

I used to work in food manufacturing within logistics and supply chain losses for not one but two of the biggest food companies in the world.

And while food manufacturers are extremely wasteful, and companies and organizations, people, the rich are extremely wasteful, we DO NOT make enough food to feed the country let alone the world.

And if you scaled up the production to support the way Americans eat around the world, I can guarantee you would not want to eat it.

The world cannot sustain our current western or even a middle class lifestyle lifestyle for everyone. Things such as meat, energy, fish cannot (currently) scale to that degree.

Our numbers aren't the problem it's our consumption and waste we produce. People need cars people have trash. If somebody comes up with a carbon alternative and ways to burn/evaporate waste without emissions you could fit trillions on earth.
