He's a lot better now than he was earlier this decade at least. Music to be Murdered By Part 1 was solid, and his recent guest verses have been straight.

Exactly and I can’t remember the last time I listened to a full em album but there’s no denying he loves rap I’m pretty sure it’s not only his job but his only hobby and the only thing he actually enjoys doing. If I was him and someone paid me well to do something I loved I would keep doing it too.
Most rap songs are about random shyt to be honest tho. At some point even if you still in the hood, or nice neighborhood, doesn't matter, you'll eventually max out most of your stimulation in your areas of life at a particular point and probably run out of a lot of normal shyt to rap about so, just make shyt up in your head and spit whatever comes to mind, if it rhymes it rhymes.

Em has nothing to rap about? I disagree. He's sober, still here, dropped an incredible verse on Nas' album where he shouted out MF DOOM. Go Em!

Kamikaze was better than Relapse but I know Relapse is revered on here as his last good album

Relapse had the least skippable tracks imo. Deja Vu and Stay Wide Awake is Em at his best.

It’s not just that. That’s part of it. But he also sounds like he’s trying way too hard on every song. He used to rap crazy but had way more of an effortless style. He sounds like he’s trying really hard to rap the craziest verse every time.
if this were hard rock, every Em verse would be a drum solo. There’s a time and place for that but he’s literally doing it on every verse.
