you can own all consoles and be a fanboy. I owned everything last gen and I still liked PS3 more. it just comes down to preference. Microsoft IPs don't interest me. I can play them all on Windows 10 and I still don't really care. plus I like to piss off people online and troll. shyts funny to me.

Coming up, I owned all of them, however I realized that some were obviously better. Nintendo was the starting point for many, and seeing as it was an evolutionary step forward, it was the god at the time. SNES and Genesis, were great consoles, however how many games of Sonic can one play before getting tired of the blue haired track runner. SNES had better titles; Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger, MK series, etc. So it was dominant for its run, nothing could touch it. Then PS1 vs N64, etc, etc.
I learned early on to be a fanboy of the console producing the better material. Some developers were trusted out the gate (Squaresoft), these days there's a lot less trust, and more 60$ beta tests being released. I got on the PC curve before most people I know, and I'm not regretting it like say....most xbox owners going through the buyers remorse phase.

Fanboying is born of the need for people to justify their purchase. People wanna feel like they made the best buy and they aren't missing out on anything. Whether or not that's due to a lack of funds depends on the person.
Its funny because the guys at the head of these companies play their competitors games and have no qualms about it. Some of them openly talk about it. They're on the payroll and some random guy on the internet who gets paid nothing to do it plays volunteer PR guy to a given company's brand and damage controls everything.
Thats what it really is. People who have multiple platforms can objectively say this console generation is trash but because they chose sides they cant let it goHonestly I think most of y'all just want to belong to something
Xbox360/ps3 were dope consoles. Microsoft/sony mislead everyome with ps4/xbox1 which seems to have less features than previous gen (when it should have more). People hate the pc crowd here but we warned everyone that the specs of these consoles werent going to be able to do what sony/microsoft said they will be able to do (and we were right, of course) just based off the specs.
Console crowd said devs can develop games better on console so itll work better

systems they bought it quick and now they collect dust and boutta get scammed again for these 4k systems that will struggle with 4k. These sony stans full of shyt too. I have them all on my friend list. Only a few ever on. They post here more than play games
Common sense not so common now a days. Sony/microsoft need to do better. The stans need to do better.

Tbh the biggest Stans have both consoles. Those stans just treat the console they like the least, like a unwanted child. And those my friend are weirdos. Buy a console to sh1t on it

With Android and iPhone most of the people who shyt on iPhones have never actually owned one. Same with PC and Mac. You get a lot of people commenting on the hypothetical inferiority of stuff they don't actually own and in some cases haven't used enough to form a valid opinion about it.
I was an Android guy until I owned an iPhone. Back in those days iPhones weren't on my network so I never had the option.
