LOL parts of Flatbush still look like the first pic breh....hell parts of the Stuy and Crown Heights still look like that
Truth.gentrification is responsible for the brooklyn nets' existence
More truth.the NY sports scene, save for the knicks, is pretty dead.
the new stadiums have priced out the hardcore fanbase.
Even more truth.put a brand new stadium and team around hipsters who don't care about sports then make tickets extra expensive for people that do care
I see it...They are here on Flatbush though.... shyt i seen hipsters in Sunset park this weekend as well. I know that gentrification slowed down for a bit since 2008 but I think its revved up again cause they are going deeper into brooklyn.
this might be true with the 80s/90s NY Sports scene. but not in 2014 when 75% of the people in the city going to games, walking the streets etc are from Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri.

Native NYers still get buck. Had Kyrie so shook he feared for his safety. Bloomberg just hated that element of the city so much because that element of the city hated him.
I tell everyone I know, go to Dyckman during summertime if you want that old feeling (or Rucker, but they don't get as turnt up).
I see it...
They still won't go to ENY and Brownsville though....I don't think they're that brave yet lol

at times, I'm thankful of this.Dyckman is still fun I'll give you that . But the Bronx hasn't changed all that much either.
I'm with you, breh. Franklin avenue ain't Franklin avenue anymore. I'm going to be looking for a place soon. Wish me luck.
