Underrated postseason? No...

"Underrated" would imply that he's having an extraordinary run that isn't being recognized as such. He's yet to show his game can increase an extra gear, there is no "Playoff Giannis" because he's exactly the same as he is in regular seasons, and more should be expected of a multiple-time MVP...

Absolutely atrocious free throw shooting, borders between average and atrocious in close late game scenarios, isn't his team's closer, and yes, people should talk about him looking clearly inferior to Kevin Durant, and the Bucks struggling to put away injury-riddled Nets and Hawks teams under his guidance, despite being of mostly great health themselves and having a highly decorated superstar who should be enough to tip the balance vs the series of injured opponents...

This board is so damn either/or. Stating these things aren't underrating nor "hating" Giannis...

I mean.... I think it has more to do with his poor FT and 3PT shooting. I don't think people actually see him as a wing. God knows I don't, I basically consider him a center who's super Mobile. Jokic and Giannis are the genesis of modern day center's in today's NBA imo

Statistically he's been putting up the best numbers seen in a long time. However, the numbers overpower everything else.

I'd say his postseason is fairly rated when you look at his game. If he truly accepts that he's a 4-5, then we don't have a discussion. It's him trying to be a wing, the horrid shooting (FTs, 3s, hell his jumper), trying to break down the defense, getting the wall put on him...the team looking like they can't go to him down the stretch moments like that matter a lot.

I think he would start getting more respect if the Bucks stopped trying to make him a point guard, and just put him strictly in the post. He has a good spin move, and has good length that allows him to finish at the rim.

Fellas, he mostly plays the 4 in Milwaukee's lineups. No one should consider him a wing because he isnt playing a wing position...

He's actually slightly overrated. Middleton has been the big time performer for them in the key moments this post season. See last night's game. Giannis has just been his regular season self and the Bucks have the best team out of the healthy ones left.

Even those tweets are clearly struggle admiration posts. Numbers look underwhelming. But the NBA's gotta push their biggest star left.

100%...

Middleton has good games, they win. He doesn't, they lose. And this should say more about how we should view Giannis, than Middleton. The Bucks aren't winning games where Giannis is great and Middleton is bad and again, more should be expected of a guy with Giannis' cache...

Right now, all this is, is a temporary love fest with Giannis because everyone's favorite guys are out. It isnt even genuine...
