Is God selfish? How come He demands constant praise and worship while not doing anything for us

I can buy the concept of God.

I just can't buy the idea that an omnipotent being would give a shyt about what we do...

In the infinite years that a god would exist, our universe's entire existence would be a second in comparison.

Being created is one thing. But on purpose? With this supposed god conveniently nowhere to be found? :mjlol:

Why have children?

Its a good question but dont rack your brain trying to understand it. A computer was designed by a technician... but a computer does not have the capacity and internal wiring to understand the technician, no matter how hard it tries.

We attribute limited human concepts on God when we try to make sense of him I.e the computer thinking that the technician must have a hard drive.

Theres just no point. The way I see it though praise and worship means selflessness... it may be a way of proving that you can put aside your human ego and humble yourself before God which lets him know that your a "real one" so to speak... so in a way its just a test... the praise and worship in itself means nothing but the act of doing it shows humility :yeshrug: but what do I know im just a computer trying to understand a technician.

Why have children?

To keep the species alive. It's the drive that got us to this point.

If we were immortal we'd have zero need or drive for procreating. That's why animals that live the longest have less children than animals that have short lives.

Thats just what humans would expect if they were a God. Constant praise and admiration.

Right. It's like the old example of a cat trying to understand Windows 95/XP/Whatever your OS is.

And let's be real, if God created everything and humans consistently kept dropping the ball... I feel like I'd want humanity to have a consistent reminder of exactly who's keeping things going here. :francis: Because it's not like humans are known for always making the best of decisions.

Of course, you could also ask why God would bother to keep the current iteration of human beings, when He could just erase everything and start all over again. I don't have the answer to these questions, but knowing that there's a possibility of an answer existing is pretty fascinating in itself to me. :manny:

Oh really? That’s why people have children?
What does anybody care about the species surviving?

...and, why make a child?
You have a lot more power than it, and it can’t really do anything for you...just like God, right?

Is God selfish? Asking for all that praise while he don't do so shyt for anyone. And folk really be arguing over who the chosen ones. Chosen to do what? Suffer a lil more than the rest?

Have your pops have to tell you for 20 years (or generations) to stop acting a fool, then be confused about why your ass got thrown out the house (or Israel).

Be hardheaded and ungrateful, brehs.
