Is God selfish? How come He demands constant praise and worship while not doing anything for us

Believe everything is here by happenstance, brehs.

A lot of humanity as a whole has gotten very far away from what was originally intended by God.

With all these demonic cacs out here and the things they do, you best believe there has to be some sort of omnipotent force keeping us around.

But this conversation is pointless. Believe what you want to believe. Conduct yourself however you want. You have to take it up with him at the end

“All-powerful” isn’t the same as “all-knowing”; people tend to use those interchangeably.

So, I’ll ask again - where’s your Scriptural basis for the claim that God is “all-knowing”?

1 John 3:20
For whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.

Psalm 139:4
Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.

You should know better than anyone there is a scripture for everything. I already know you're going to spin the very words of the text christians claim to live by so I'm not even sure why I'm bothering here. But go nuts fam.

Besides once again if god doesn't know whats going to happen whose to say the bible in its entirety isnt literally just heresy? It doesn't work as a text is god is not all knowing and all powerful and you know this. Stop being coy.

Therein lies the rub - God can know ultimately “what’s going to happen”, and yet choose not to exercise foreknowledge about every little detail.

This is why I asked you that; by “all-knowing” your ilk tends to shape God as a prognosticator,
when his knowledge of everything that is (is, and not “will be”) is the point.

:russ:

This convoluted way of trying to explain away him creating Satan still makes absolutely no logical sense. So basically you're telling me he has the ability to know everything, yet chooses not to...because reasons? And ya'll believe this stuff? Breh I'm done I've heard enough you got it:dwillhuh: The bible literally doesn't work in any fashion if he doesn't know the future. The whole book is prophecies.

You religious folks can never give a actual or straight answer, its exhausting. Its why I stoppd bothering and went agnostic. I generally don't care to even think about it but I figured why not today. I was not disappointed lol.

The kirk to the fields
That’s humanity doing those things to each other, not the work of God.
If you left your child in the forest and they're eaten by a wolf, is it still not your fault?

Why is he letting all the bad things happen? At the snap of a finger he can stop all of it, right?

only read op:

God does not demand worship or praise. God has given us choice . He wants us to choose to follow him. but we are not worthy on our own.

Naw the all powerful is incapable of knowing what next dastardly plot Satan has cooked, until Revelation. He's just chilling till then and letting the chips fall where they may :hubie:

according to brother taadow at least.

So wait a minute: you’re telling me that you could know something, but you chose not to??
You just made my point. Lol

Now since this guy’s gone, for anybody else:

1. “Satan“ is a product of his own free will, not a concept formed by God. He chose to be what he is.

1B. ...even still, “Satan” is not God’s “eternal nemesis”. He’s not immortal. He’s as much a rival as the Clippers are to the Lakers.

2. “The Bible doesn’t work in any fashion if God doesn’t know the future”

You can know the future if you’re “all-powerful”, because you can do what you want.

All the prophecies in The Bible basically lead to one fulfillment:
“I’m gonna kick all you clowns misusing my planet off of it.”

You don’t need to be “all-knowing” for that to take place, but you need to be “all-powerful”
Which one would rather be?

The question of why suffering is allowed is a very good one, but the key word is temporary. And also note that God did not exempt Himself from suffering as well and He certainly could have.

Plus, if you view your earthly temporary life in the context of eternal life (this is my viewpoint) then you realize we only suffer for a very short period of time here on earth.

What is earthly living for 80-90 years max in the context of living for an eternity?

An extremely short amount of time indeed.

What would you learn from if you didn’t reap the consequences of your actions?

This is ABSOLUTELY correct. This is why God asks for us to seek Him in a personal relationship. Reading someone else's book about you and knowing you personally can be two entirely different things.

It's also why I never bought it when people acted like having questions is such a blasphemous thing. You've got people championing going to church every Sunday and acting like they're better than everyone who doesn't, but are the first ones to be sleeping with somebody's spouse or steal from the tithing... And they're the ones who want to referee how people do things. :mjlol:

I get that churches aren't places for perfect people, in fact, some of the most broken might be the church folks. But that's why you've gotta walk your own journey sometimes, cause not every church is a place you wanna dwell in. Even Jesus had to flip a table or two.

Exactly what lesson is a starving child learning? Or a rape victim?

Joe that dude a clown talking in circles. Par for course. I will admit his "god can know the future he just doesn't want to nyahhh" defense is an new and exciting bullshyt talking point I've never seen before.

So god created allllll this shyt on a whim because he can do anything, but he can't stop world hunger, or the devil, or even know whats going to happen 4 minutes from now (unless he...wants to :mjlol: ). But a whole book was written of his supposed prophecies :dead: this shyt is hilarious :dead:
