Is GoW the Goat last gen game?

Enough white hoes to last me thru ATL
Im replaying it in 60fps and I honestly cannot get over how dope this game is. The graphics, the music, the sound design the acting...Literally the only thing that can rival it to me is TLOU2.
I honestly don't think this game has any real faults except maybe some of the puzzles being a little half baked. But combat is addicted along with the story.
Im not sure a sequel can live up to this
The combos and stance switches with the axe was masterfully

In my opinion GOW 2018 is up there as most overrated GOTY with BOTW, UC4, RDR2. I would say Bloodborne as well, but i literally never tried that game (i hate Souls games). Don't get it twisted GOW is not a bad game to me just overrated. It's better than UC4. RDR2 might be better but practically unplayable to me. BOTW is not for me, but from what i played Nintendo fanboys (critics included) are all possibly capping about how amazing, and groundbreaking it is.
But, everyone has their own list. I myself look at others list and be like are you serious at first? But it's their list. Somebody might have Hollow Knight as their GOTG (it got great scores). I will not agree with that at all but in the end i'd be like cool that's their list/GOTG for the most part (sometime people fanboy/fangirl too hard, or have some kind of agenda).
I believe sometimes the games we rank our favorites are not even 100% because of just the game. Sometimes it's the time period you played, your mindstate while playing through it, the circumstances you're playing under etc.
For example i played Fallout 4 after i built my first PC. I never played any other Fallout game. I had so many mods, 60 fps, i use to bump (then new) BITTSM in steams music player while traveling and shooting, had some free time around that time period, less stressful times etc. But if i played it last year i might rank it lower. But the memories i have of how much i enjoyed the experience. It's definitely in my top 10.
Another example would be Animal Crossing last year. Not my type of game but for many people it truly got them through the beginning of the pandemic. So if it's in someone's top 3 i would understand.

Still have this game wrapped in plastic...soon many great games that I have to get to but so little time
Off-topic: I really wanna try Persona 5. I keep seeing it listed as “one of the best games” but I have no clue what the game is about.
On-topic: GoW is definitely top 5 for me. Getting all the armor and beating the Valkyries was the cherry on top.

Doing a NG+ run, this game looks incredible at 4k/60

Some of the "bosses" (not referring to the Valkyries) were rather repetitive and a carbon copy of each other. A higher budget in the next game should fix that issue and provide variety.

Yea I remember Cory Barlog admitting they cut quite a few bosses due to limited time and resources.
This game still looks so jaw dropping good. What the team does with the sequels on PS5 ought to be insane.

i cant think of any good reason for it to not be p5 exclusive if it gets delayed to next year like people are saying it might
shyt would be mad annoying if its just marginally more advanced than the last one because sony bricked the p5 release and its not enough folk with it to justify it being exclusive
P5 and Horizon Zero Dawn are my two favorites. GoW was outstanding though
