Is Griselda Records a white supremacist organization?

They're wack as hell I know that. Eminem can't sell a bottle of water to a nikka trapped in a desert.

The imagery is trash. The beats lack soul the lyrics lack substance. The wrestling instead of Kung Fu wutang gimmick is weak. They're just wack and I tried to get on the bandwagon.

I cant say anything about the Hitler shyt that hasn't already been said.

But lets be real..... They were hungry. They were doing throwback 90s rap before that was cool AT ALL. Its possible in an alternate universe that Griselda just doesn't get discovered :francis:

So the Hitler theme definitely helped. But Westside is a fool when he gets on his "Dont censor my art" shyt.

Bruh hitler is not art. fukk out of here :stopitslime:

1. That’s most rappers who like to do that old school drug/gun talk. To a lot of people it’s called “restoring the feeling.”

2. They’ve put out ONE Shady project. ONE.

3. Westside Gunn loves doing shyt for attention. He fukks with Kanye cuz they’re like minded. He’s damn near 40. I’m not about to tell him who he should idolize or hang out with.

4. never bought their shirts, so if you did, well you know what they say about a fool and his money.

I’m also desensitized to overly provocative stuff like this. All them 90s rappers out here spitting Mafioso tales and naming themselves after old dictators (8-off Agallah, Musoliny-N-Maze). Dipset was out there calling themselves the Taliban.

They really buy into the gimmick the way wrestlers do, which is why they incorporate that into the music. I fukks with the music, but honestly I’ve seen just as controversial and I’m too old to be looking for heroes. If you fukk with the music leave it at that.

Too me they kinda blew from restoring the grimey/corner/hustler shyt. I really haven't heard of anyone geeked or copped an album off the Hitler album covers. The WSG album that popped off for him, Flygod, didn't even have a Hitler cover so that Hitler and confederate shyt has done nothing for them overall imo

Yeah, but when they weren't known.... that helped catch attention.

Yeah but age is just a number. Who are you to say you cant be 40 and living the dream?
Bruh I'm damn near 30 still tryna put my first real project out :francis:

I'm not about to do some suburban cac edgelord shyt to get hot tho :hhh:

They're really getting off on some New York bias, because Buffalo has always been seen as a generic cac city and if they were tryna pull shyt like this being from Phoenix or somewhere they would've been had got called on it :mjlol:

Did it really do a lot for them though? I'm not being facetious. I'm genuinely curious.

I got into Griselda off of Griselda Ghost, Hall & Nash, Don't Get Scared Now, Reject 2, Flygod, Roses are Red so is Blood, H.B.O., and My 1st Brick. I didn't listen to any of the Hermes tapes until later, and at that time only the 1st 3 were out, and 2 and 3 just had him on the cover in a ski mask. No Hitler imagery. I didn't notice any Hitler imagery until Hermes 4, and at that point I was already invested, even though I thought it was tacky and didn't get it.

By my count the Hermes tapes with artwork featuring Hitler are 1, 4, and 5. Unless there are some alternate covers...2, 3, 6, and 7 just have Gunn on the cover in a ski mask.

I honestly don't think the imagery or the name did much to push them. Maybe it caught a little bit of attention, but when anyone at this point gets asked about what Griselda projects to check out, none of the Hermes tapes are usually at the top of the list.

I could be wrong. Maybe the imagery caught people's attention and got them into Westside Gunn, but if the 1st Gunn project I heard of would've had the name Hitler in it, I probably would've passed on it. If anything I think it could be holding him back.
