Is Griselda Records a white supremacist organization?

Eu Sou O Segundo
-Glorify and brag about committing acts of violence and drug dealing in Black communities

-Signed to Eminem/Devilscope

-Attack solid successful pro Black men on social media

-Defend c00ns

-Only put white people on their cover art.

-Glorify white gangsters, artists, fashion designers, and wrestlers, many of whom are :mjpls:

-Trying to return to music to the days before Black artists got radio play and all the songs had no drums.

Discuss.

Great post. It’s crazy how people just let that Hitler stuff slide. That’s why I’ve never listened to their stuff, there’s no way any self respecting black person would utilize that kind of imagery. The only reason these idiots get a pass is because they have a 90s East Coast sound. This board would crucify a young southern rapper using those same album covers.

Like some of the other posters have said, the lyrics and pictures appear to be for shock value.

However, I don’t know how this will play out for WestSide Gunn if he wants to appeal to a mainstream audience.

they will never be mainstream, no one cares about mafiosa rap anymore

Always found the confederate flag thing a bit weird, but that’s a down south thing. The Hitler stuff is also a bit weird. Not sure how it’s labeled “art” especially in these sensitive times.

thsts not a down south thing

:francis:To add to the discussion, while OP is hitting some very interesting points, hip hop in general been on that shock factor steez since 2 Live Crew doing stunt poses in front of asscheeks. Hell, this album right here raised concerns in the black community because of it's album title:

hqdefault.jpg

while its not on the same level of rappers having weird pop art of Hitler rocking three eyes and shyt, but folks were concerned that this album would turn black people away from going to college.

Remember when Dipset were naming themselves the Taliban during 9/11 and rappers comparing committing murders to the towers dropping? What about Nas posing on a crucifix which made folks raised eyebrows.

Hip Hop has always been one to stomp on egg cartons. While the Griselda shock factor shyt is weird, it's working because it got us talking about the shyt, rather than just being like:yeshrug:.

Hence the concept of going for shock factor.

You make some good points but i chalk it up to them trying way too hard to be provocative more so than negative intent. I’ve always thought the hitler Hermès name was stupid
Yeah, it always came off as real juvenile and corny. Like yeah, we get it's a twist on the devil wears prada, but he's ran it into the ground at this point.
