Alcohol like any “beverage” has rules … they apply to everything you drink from whiskey to wine. If you don’t follow them you’re going to have a bad time.

Why is that Heineken has all these rules, but most other beers - domestic/imported/craft - don't have all these rules?

They follow the same rules …local beer is more often fresher because it is consumed more frequently and doesn’t sit on the shelf as long … but these sell by dates apply to the quality of all beer and wine

According to beer advocate, it is rated poor tasting beer.

Still was the gold standard for beer for decades. BA is craft beer central. The older "been around the block" standards get raked through the mud all day on there. At the end of the day, Heineken is quality.

Always fukked with Heineken as my standard beer. I don't drink as much anymore tho. Usually I'll get a high ABV IPA once in awhile for the buzz.

Every time I've had a Heineken, it tastes skunky

I hear it's better in brown bottles, but I'm never gonna find out.

Agree with the skunky taste. That's how it was with my first experience and on every subsequent time I've had it again.

One of my boys is always traveling overseas. He went to the brewery there and really enjoyed it. To the point he regularly drinks Heineken now.
