To you maybe, I don't think p had a better bragger rap then take it in blood, a story telling joint on par with shootouts or i gave you power, a better technical display then watch dem nikkas, or overall song writing on the level of nas at the time. Prodigy honestly had a delivery so ill it made his lyrics sound a lot better then they were. Havoc doesn't get enough credit in 96, even though on some songs he had the better verse.

I agree with this 100%, people sleep on Havoc when it comes to rapping, but imo Hav was as good as P, lyrically at least. Like you said, P just had an ill delivery and presence

Yeah, cause rap fans only just wanna hear instrumentals :russ:
:ehh:
you wouldn't need to. there's 3 great lyricists headlining each album.
only difference is, the other 2 have better production.
iww isn't as balanced as the other two. basically what i'm saying is you don't combine someone who was an a+ mc, with some c class producers like the trackmasters.
-this just got me thinking of a nas escobar album with full production from havoc in 96:banderas:

Both albums were flames, and pretty good follow ups to classic albums (The Infamous, Illmatic), and you could say that it's the lyrical peaks of Nas and Prodigy...

To be honest I've been flip flopping between the two. Some days I think Hell On Earth is better, sometimes it's IWW :banderas:

Personally I think it's neck and neck, but I have friends that like HOE more...how does the coli feel about these two albums? Which one was better?

all i know for certain is that they're both better than wack ass illmatic

This is a tough one. Hard to decide because I love both albums for different reasons.

I feel like this was Nas' peak, because he managed to balance intricate rhymes with a commercial sound. Prodigy was in a unreal zone tho. It was like the darkness that surrounded his life manifested itself on wax. Today I will say It Was Written. Tomorrow HOE.
