Is intelligent design the biggest argument for the existence of a higher being?

These are my opinions.

Nature is our Creator. We don't know who God is but yet everyday the Sun (father/masculine) and the Moon (mother/feminine) comes out. The sun and the moon have been ingratiated into most spiritual and religious practices that most people don't even comprehend because they're doing things out of habit.

Nature is self sustaining. Issues come in when Man wants to manipulate nature rather than accept nature as it is. Nature is neither good nor bad. It's simply nature.

It's confusing that people equate our Creator as being singular without a partner(s) when everything in nature has a male and female counterpart.

There's a reason why we live on earth (inhabitable land).

I have know idea. I wouldn’t even pretend to know. It’s a paradox for sure. But as far as what I believe, I simply don’t believe that existence started with a Big Bang, and the conditions to set that forth, wasn’t initiated by someone or something. And like you said, who created that? Where is the true beginning? nikka I don’t know lol. I’m just living my life I’m deep thought like Socrates sometimes but at the end of the day we all can only assume. So when I say it’s common sense of it being a creator, that’s where it stops. I’m not too sure of anything else as, and I could be wrong. But my mind only knows what it knows, and it’s impossible for me to wrap my head around the idea of something being created from nothing

I appreciate that answer. I'm not saying it's impossible bc nobody really knows. I'll never tell anyone what they believe is wrong. I'm on a search for answers and I've only found answers in evolution and not religion. Everybody is entitled to believe in what they want. We won't know for sure until we're dead unfortunately

People know what they're told is right and wrong. Modern common sense, which is heavily influenced by scripture is milleniums in the making.

Fear of consequence alone is how a child views this. It's not wanting to do wrong and fearing consequence so you behave. It's realizing that what you thought was right was hurting, wanting to be better and changing yourself, by following The Word. Not relying on your own understanding in the short period of time you've existed.

You describe fear of consequences but then denounce it. Realizing that you hurt people or made the wrong decision is learning from your mistakes but only if it wasn't done purposely.

We believe the same thing but for different reasons. Let me ask you this. If we both behave in the same righteous ways but I don't believe in a god and you do, should we be treated differently? If it turns out there is a god will I go to hell bc I didn't believe in him?

Never really thought if it that way, but sure that could be a possibility.

I was thinking more of the Big Bang simply being a mechanism that god created to generate the universe. Sort of like God pressing the start button.
