I'm no fan of his but I don't understand the coli's hate for this guy.

Him, more than many other people, has had the machine behind him from day one. I don't care either way but even I have had to look at this and be like, if there was someone 'ordained' to success, it was him. I like a few tracks from him but his skill level is no where near the hype that he has garnered.

:yeshrug: it was curtains for son when he started jacking social justice warrior lingo

I still think he was doing the christian rap for the gradual switch-up to become a politician (he's actually really plugged in those circle believe it or not ) then when he got pressured for support kellz

he tried to feminist talk his way out of it

Media: so why did you make a song with R.Kelly

Chance: Well, his accuser are black girls. so naturally, I couldn't believe them (literally what twitter was saying men believed at the time)

Media and (funnily enough) Twitter::gucci:

Chance::smugbiden:

Chance had to run his apology back like the next day

and that fellows is why you don't see that kinda of ideology play out in real life

Not a first single type song that I'd choose. It's damn good song though.

I've been gravitating more towards the less bleak stuff anyway so this is something I can get with.

I think he's done being considered in that top tier of rap (which I never felt he belonged). He just slowly became too clean cut and polished. I was a fan of the Acid Rap days. Now there isn't anything unique or edgy with his music. Also I'm just not sure who his fanbase is currently, like what age group?

It's supposed to be my age group, the 23-28 year olds that were there when he blew up at the end of the blog era and graduated to the streaming era.

But when coloring book came out and he did the tour for it he cut his fanbase in half, if not more. The gospel influence would've been fine if it was a natural progression, but it isn't. nikka literally blew up off a mixtape called acid rap, and rapped like he was a nikka who was on acid. How you go from that to a youth pastor? :russ:
