Is It Me? or Does It Not Pay To Be Nice To People?

nice people who brag about being nice and complain about getting nothing in return arent being nice for the right reasons
its just like a$$holes who constantly brag about going to chruch or doing community service, your not supposed to broadcast it to everyone you know and expect the world to give you a bj in return
i'm nice to people who deserve it and to people at work because i have to be civil there

The thing about being nice is that everyone isnt deserving of that treatment from you, but I guess there is only one way to find that out (Im assuming we're not just talking about interactions with strangers). I am just nice & helpful to people - so I cant really get mad at people taking advantage of that. It is what it is. However, I think its important to show someone that you are not easily led the minute they do something you dont like, SPEAK UP FOR YOURSELF. If you dont like the way they respond to your kindness or helpfulness then thats when you fall back.

Generally... No. I like being nice because it feels good when it's appreciated but being called "a nice guy" and running across people who view being nice as weak is the drawback to it
I'm nice at work and like someone else says, it makes it easy to work with me but I notice when I'm rude I'm usually more respected.
Like in the military for example, I had a bad attitude when I joined so there was a lot of fukks not given when it came to people trying to fukk with me. Eventually I got older, more professional, and had more shyt to lose so I became easier to work with but a lot more disrespect came my way and sometimes you got to still check someone
