Is it me or is gangbanging more popular than ever in rap?

Yes and its corny.

Not only do nikkas gangbang on record more than ever, but because their bars are so basic as fukk and weak as fukk, the only thing the fans and media care about is their street clout and extracurricular fukkery.
As a high ranking member of the Conservative Vice Lords(Decatur, IL branch), I totally agree

Yes, for the most part they were individuals that ran with loose crews.

You had crews like the Supreme Team, Shower Posse, Preacher Crew, SMM, NFL, Best Out, etc. but they were not gangs, and they did not gangbang.

They didn't section the city off, organize under flags, throw signs, and murder each other just because of the crew they were affiliated with.

There are plenty of brehs in here correcting you.

Just accept it.

I see and I'm like...

So yall lived my life for me when I lived up there...

My bad... thought it was me :gucci:

If were talking the current generation of rappers its definitely either lil wayne and chief keef.

These lil nikkas were still in diapers when dipset and the game were at their peak
I'm saying game made being a blood popular initially and then Wayne took it to the next level. Nobody gave a fukk about diplomats like that.

Breh, I think you're misunderstanding what gangbanging actually is.

Y'all might have had a crews big enough to consider themselves gangs, along with other smaller crews and clicks, but there was no gangbangin on the streets of NYC from 91-96.

LA? Yes.

Chicago? Yes

But not in NYC.

If you're from there, and really grew up in the 90s, you know that's a fact.

Gangbangin is when you have gangs at war over territory and past history, killing each other over nothing more than the fact that you're from a rival gang.

It's not about money, drugs, none of that shyt.

It's war, pure and simple.

NYC did not have that dynamic in the early to mid 90s and you know that.

He can't because there was no such thing.

shyt, even LA didn't "bang on wax" until the actual Bangin On Wax album was made.

That's what made that shyt so crazy, because it was the 1st time you had nikkas really claimin sets on rap songs, outside of the little mixtapes Quik made in the 80s.

nikkas didn't say their hoods on record because they knew their shows would be fukked up in LA if nikkas knew where they were from.

Eazy and Ren are both Kelly Park Crips, they've never said that on a record, and NWA was by far the biggest thing coming out of LA until Snoop hit in 94.

:mjlol:

Record sales don't always translate to influence. No one raps like Game, dresses like him, and damn sure didn't start banging because of him.

The Chicago scene is more influential from the slang to the music.
:francis:I'm obviously not taking about now.
