:whoa: this aint call of duty 2 days anymore where people play on low settings on purpose, you can watch most top players in the world on twitch, they clearly dont turn shyt down anymore with few exceptions..

I don't agree. nor am I sure how you could tell the difference watching crappy twitch streams. a lot of these games still look pretty good on low

Crappy streams :wtf: that are in 1080 hd ? :wtf:

most twitch streams I watch are 720p. but regardless it's still compressed crap that will lose a lot of the nuance of higher graphics settings. the same with 1080p youtube videos

:what: If they are in 720p or 1080p its still HD.. why would you stream in HD if you are playing in low settings :what:

you have no idea what you are talking about, as usual... you consistently give out the worse information about PCs on this forum :snoop:

just because the settings are low does not mean it's not in HD.
if he was playing with his resolution at 720 or 1080 then that's HD.

I didn't say it wasn't HD. but clearly a 1080p twitch/youtube video does not look the same as playing the game at that resolution. you can attempt to insult me all you want, but I'm pretty sure you know that's true. and differences in AA, shadows, etc are gonna be hard to appreciate if you're not looking at a pixel-for-pixel representation. again, I'm not saying there's no difference between settings. just that those differences are gonna be hard to pick out with the unavoidable blocky video compression

people would stream in 1080p because they're playing at that resolution, and they have the bandwidth. their other settings are besides the point

and besides trying to figure out what settings people use by watching stream, plenty of these dudes say in so many words the settings they use. it's not like I came out of left-field talking about people that set everything to low. again, I'm pretty sure you know that, but you feel the need to double down and insult me

I never denied that people can use that much power, but it's always gonna come down to a question of how much you want to spend. plus the factor that cats think they're gonna be able to 'future proof' for more than 2 years. here we have a cat that doesn't even want to build his own system, but wants to just throw a $4-500 vid card in a pre-built. I don't think it's a good idea

They see me trolling, they hating.....
$1,369.99 with that top notch $400 2GB Nvidia GTX680 card and 600w power supply included (It would be nice if u guys could be more specific on how long that card would last me in the upcoming gen)

I know it would have been cheaper if I was a nerd who knew how to build PCs from scratch but whaddayagonna do? :ehh:

Plus I've been running with the same PC since 2003 so I'm in dire need of an upgrade anyway and that price is actually cheaper than what I originally paid for my current joint.

I'm still rocking XP and copped my ish before the youtube era begun so its really :flabbynsick:

I'm just glad that a noob like me can come to the coli and get advice from cats more experienced in this field :blessed:

where do they list their settings?

and obviously LoL, DoTA, WoW, and Starcraft are all a totally different animal from a competitive fps

:merchant: only competitive FPS is BF3 and CoD and they are both played at max settings from top players
