Huh? If he has no stamina, then it’ll be a good idea to do more cardio

He can do both. But realistically in 3 months he needs to pick one goal. If it was me I would rather look fit for the beach then actual be fit. Like at what point is he going to have to run the mile at the beach? He just need to look good. Cardio is not king when it comes to building muscle and losing weight at the same time.

The Wrong Side of the Tracks
USMC Boot Camp exercise regimen (1988):

20 x 4-count push-ups
20 x 4-count sit-ups
20 x 4-count side-straddle hops (jumping jacks)
10 x full-extension pull-ups
3 mi. run

We did this Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for 13 weeks. Tuesday, Thursday, and weekends was reserved for drill practice and attitude adjustment.

He said in the op he wants to have sex without gassing out. Also no reason he can’t do at least 30mins cardio after lifting. I do an hour weights followed by an hour cardio on the treadmill 4 days a week.

No. Now if you were in phenomenal shape and stopped working out for say 6 months to a year then yeah you can get back in shape in 3 months.

But if you’ve been completely out of shape for a long time, you ain’t getting in shape in 3 months. Depends on your goal though
I've been in very solid shape for awhile. Good speed, and muscle mass. Just want to be lean and muscular at the same time.

It depends on your current shape really. If you need to lose a lot of weight then no. You can't be 5'11" 280lbs and expect to be in shape in three months. Now if you're skinny or just 10-20 lbs overweight, if you stick to eating clean, hitting the weights hard, stay consistent with your workout schedule, stick to eating clean, cut out the alcohol, then you can get in shape. You won't be on the cover of Muscle and Fitness, but you will be decent. If you keep those habits, then by next summer, you can be where you really want to be at.

I had the same measurements as you in January
I've been hovering around 173'ish since Mid March , so lost like 25lbs in 2 months
and lost it EASY (ie: no gym or cardio damn near)
if you can diet consistently , eating all lean meats and leafy vegetables, for multiple weeks/months in a row you are guaranteed to get the weight off
my approach was no drinking, low carbs, and damn near no sugar (only sugar was from low glycemic index berries). I eat like i live on Positano coast or some shyt. fish spinach and mozzarella plates :ohlawd:

You got 3 months

We past the mid point of April...

I'm sure you know where you fukked up in this whole ordeal but we won't touch that...

All i can say is get a jump rope and EASE into running/joggin..

Along with weights/calisthenics

You gonna have to get the diet right ASAP which includes counting calories...

There is no leeway for fukkups

Good luck:huhldup:
This x1000. But I'll say this, restrict those calories and go ham the next 90 days recreating your usual dishes in a healthy way. I find that's the easiest way to cut the weight.

If you love spaghetti, fried chicken, hamburgers. Start learning to substitute.

You can have the speghetti with miracle noodles and an okay portion size, you can have fried chicken in coconut flour in the air fryer. You can remove the buns, and beef from the burger and go with a lettuce wrap and super lean ground turkey.

Hell, you can make a sugar free angel-food cake for dessert.

AIm for 2 super clean meals, one substitue meal, weights, and cardio.

depends on your drive, diet and body. I know personally 3 months of constant lifting will have me good. I'm naturally skinny with a high metabolism, so i get lean and a good amount of size. if i eat alot then i get jacked and i'm tall so my shyt looks different on me than it would someone else with different body stats.

most important thing imo is to stop caring about time frames and checking how you look (yes you should look towards your body goal but don't become reliant on expectations no one is perfect).
