if it comes down to just reading, then that seems like even less of a reason to require a certain language because that solution is even easier than full communications. example, if you go on IRS.gov it has several language options at the flick of the wrist so foreign people can also read what ACTUALLY NEEDS to be communicated.

No it's technically not racist. If you're in a country, you should make an attempt to learn the official language of said country.

That being said, it's always been hilariously ironic to when I hear people say "this is America, speak English" because it's another example of people claiming to be all about America, but not having a single clue what this country was built on. The US doesn't have an official language, and the founding fathers (who all spoke multiple languages) never wanted there to be one :manny:

But if you don't care about that, then you should push for Trump to make English the country's official language and we can revisit this :hubie:

I am all for this. It is annoying trying to talk to someone who doesn't speak english in a western country like Canada, US, UK, etc..

Unless they are a refugee, no Visa, PR, or Citizen should not speak the local language.

These are the types of people that only want to live in pockets of their own kind, and not contribute much towards the society they are now living in.
