#1 - Kendrick Lamar
#2 - Big K.R.I.T.
#3 - Wale
#4 - J. Cole
#5 - Drake

in that order...

And it has to be this way because of the commonalities in Likability.

More people share a liking/respect for the artist rather than just One particular artists' fan base being Bigger.... do you follow? Like Drake is arguably the biggest artist right now in terms of shyt poppin off but he might not have a certain demographics approval.

Like everybody can agree that Krit is that guy and appreciate his music (and I'm not just sayin that becuz it's trendy around here to hop on the Album Of The Day). You'll never hear somebody say Krit is wack and all the Younginz fukk wit him and he has their respect. And the Older Heads feel the same way and those that aren't familiar with him can tolerate him. You can't say the same for Drake

And that's what I mean. Names everybody knows and loves and can agree on that aren't so controversial or is being dictated by Current Momentum... contrary to the Context of this Thread

if Drake aint #1 your list is wrong. Theres just no debating it...

unless we talkin skills then obviously its Wasalu
Drake is too controversial. Say what you want about Meek Mill but Drake's "ghostwriting shadow" isn't going away anytime soon.

But even with that said and widely known he still edges out "everybody's top" list. And I don't mean "Heat Of The Moment" aura type shyt. I mean Ten years from now, along with these other artists he'll still have a Classic Record or Two that everyone can fukk with. Just like The George Clinton's and The Rolling Stones'.

These 5 are the Ambassadors to the Culture. They embody everything and everybody can agree on Something even if they disagree on Everything

Are you talking quality of music or most popular. Is it both?
Both. And neither are being judged separately. Popularity & Quality go hand in hand. Everybody might not like Drake but everybody can see he's at the Top. Everybody can agree that there's a song or two and/or something he did to make Him true to that Claim

Wale that high:comeon: everyone knows he a whiny dude
But Wale is respected across the board and actually makes respectable music that isn't so "cup of tea" particular. He's not a Controversial Choice in Discussions across the board. Unlike Cole and Drake. He's pretty much agreed upon

I like him to be fair when he isn't complaining about being slept on

Drake still number 1 and lu low key had a top five year off a great album n one mixtape

Drake's too controversial tho. Everybody ain't geekin over Drake the way Coli Militants do. But at the same time, he's that guy. Whereas Kendrick, who do you REALLY know irl that has anything bad to say? How many Kendrick songs and features can you sit back and say "oh that's weak" compared to the latter, with the exception of Krit

Lmao. Ross is Top 10/11th Man for sure. No doubt about that. Top 5 is slightly outta his league. Time has shown and will continue to show that until otherwise. Ross has oodles of good shyt but what's the "energy" behind the replay value, if you know what I mean. Like, do you want New Ross music or do you prefer the Older Ross music
