With UC4 having lifelike graphics and the new Ratchet and Clank looking like a Pixar movie, how much better can visuals get?

Virtual reality is next with glasses and body apparatus.

Once the uncanny valley is conquered, the battle will be about censorship and public safety.

Imagine some Total Recall shyt that you could do at home.

The next big leap was suppose to be A.I, don't know what the fukk happened there.

You think the shift to multiplayer games phased out the interest of single player where A.I usually shines?:jbhmm: I thought Halo 1's A.I was pretty damn good at the time and I don't remember anything in recent memory that stood out like that. :yeshrug: I do play a lot of corridor shooters though.:upsetfavre:

We asked ourselves the same question in 1999 when the Dreamcast was out.
We asked ourselves the same question when PS2 and then PS3 came out.
Look back at PS3 graphics now and you will .
I agree we are closer to the asymptote of eventual photorealism than ever before, but we've still got quite a ways to go.
To really get there, we will need to shift paradigms. Additional polygons and higher-res textures just won't get the job done.

It's not much of a difference from PS3 - PS4

Seems just like the lighting improved

Eh you might be surprised, breh.

Lots of little things that are probably only noticed subconsciously make for a much better immersive experience.

This might have been a bad port but I picked up Red Dead Redemption on ps3 and that game looks god fukking awful. Fun as hell tho...RDR needs a remaster but Rockstar not really about that rehash life.
