I ain't heard from dude since Bandz A Make Her Dance
Been a poster long enough to witness the rise and fall of 50 cent, Dipset, Weezy and Nas still spittit fireI still can't believe Weezy is scrub status.![]()
yeah I understand what your saying, but what I mean is for the most part the people deciding he has fell off is justified when you go from tha Carter 2, Dedication 2 and Da Drought 3 to Rebirth, carter4, no ceilings and ianahb 1&2
Why not?Don't lump No Ceilings in with those other albums.
Dude been a solo artist since 2003, it's 2016 which it's been a 13 year career so far. Not a 'flash in the pan' by any means like cats say he is. 'Go DJ' was 13 years ago, that's a significant stretch worthy of being labeled a legend, like it or not.
From 2007-2010 this guy was on everything too. Only toned down once Drake took the torch, but even at that point didn't fall off. I'd say his run was as good as any.
That said, I still think dude has earned respect and fandom enough to drop something in 5 years and get people interested again. Wayne is just as established as Jay is.
Why didnt you expect him to fall off? Every superstar artist out side of Em and Hov has. For example 50 and Snoop were bigger than Wayne and both cant sell anymore. Drake is next.
Waynes first solo album dropped in 1999 breh.
I feel you.Yeah I'm aware of his Cash Money days, but I chose to count it from his overall mainstream/Billboard success and when he really tried to branch out from The Carter I. If you count from before that though, it's been 17 years which makes the case even more in favor.
edit: Dang never mind, his real first album did even more numbers than I thought. So yeah, 17 years.
