He burnt out. He dominated the rap game when it was it's lowest point (mid to late 00s). He was the only half assed rapper in a field of weak ass dudes, but now them drugs and drama killed off his fire.

Why didnt you expect him to fall off? Every superstar artist out side of Em and Hov has. For example 50 and Snoop were bigger than Wayne and both cant sell anymore. Drake is next.
I think C5 would've been shyt , Believe me was the only good single and the rest flopped ,
Wasn't there like 6 singles going on?
AgreedDude been a solo artist since 2003, it's 2016 which it's been a 13 year career so far. Not a 'flash in the pan' by any means like cats say he is. 'Go DJ' was 13 years ago, that's a significant stretch worthy of being labeled a legend, like it or not.
From 2007-2010 this guy was on everything too. Only toned down once Drake took the torch, but even at that point didn't fall off. I'd say his run was as good as any.
That said, I still think dude has earned respect and fandom enough to drop something in 5 years and get people interested again. Wayne is just as established as Jay is.
You read my mind! This is exactly how I felt about Wayne by the Carter 4 era, like when's he gonna say something of substance and impact? I remember watching the first 30 seconds of this video and saying to my friend "This is Wayne's chance to say something real"It always felt like he was about to go in with some classic poignant shyt, but he just stayed making the same meaningless punchline tracks. Like a plane barrelling down the runway that refused to take off. What a waste of fukking talent.

Were all active during Wayne's reign..his competition was 100x what Drake is dealing with. He's outshined or held his own against the likes of Jada, Kast and Nas. Not to mention taking Jays instrumentals and making them his own.
Prime Weezy is a much better rapper than Cole Kendrick and anybody else in this weak ass era. His fall off has been horrible but from 04-08 this guy was in the top 3 discussion..the hate is disgusting.
