He’s a good rapper but I definitely think he’s overhyped. Like he does not give us great features at all. He’s good at giving you music to vibe to but man I’m not listening to any Kendrick past section 80, GKMC, and some songs on the other albums. All the Stars is great and I kinda like that song he has with The Weeknd too
You only hear about Kendrick being overhyped or overrated on this site. Kendrick gets love from EVERY Hip Hop fan I know. The KDot hate on this site is fukking ridiculous. Man drops near classic to classic after near classic to classic every go round and dudes on here calls him overrated and overhyped. shyt is funny tbh.

Kendrick changed after GKMC.
After GKMC, Interscope wanted to rival/compete with Drake's wave. But, that isn't Kendrick's lane. And they would have flopped trying to go that route.
So Interscope pushed Kendrick as the Nas of his era to Drake's Jay.
Critical acclaim was just as important as commercial. They've achieved it.

Kendrick is the top rapper in the game (I don't count Aubrey...he don't write his own shyt), consistently drops dope music and gets love from all types of people...including the hood...and nikkas on here talk about him like he's Magoo being unfairly hyped up by some machine. Don't understand it. It's not like he has a unlikable personality either. He's pretty humble, pro Black and seems to be a stand up dude.
