Tim Duncan is a glorified role player at this point.
NO

You fools dont know what a role player is. Duncan is still one of the focal points of the Spurs offense. Only thing is he has taken a lesser load to
  • remain fresh and be able to go all out in short spurts
  • allow younger talents like Leonard to come in and take over for the future of the franchise
Many of you egomaniac, alpha male wanna-bes wont understand the concept of knowing when you can no longer be "the man". Youfools were raised by rap music.
Duncan understands that he can no longer dominate for 40 minutes a game. He knows he has a loaded roster around him so the Spurs make him the focal point in shorter spurts of time so he can go 100% and not worry about saving energy for later.

Not to mention what he does for them defensively. Duncan's presence on both ends is the only difference between the Spurs and your run of the mill run and gun type team that never wins championships.

The Chi (South Side)
Lets outline his decline:

His vertical was never that impressive, however now it compares to that of a tiago splitter

His defense is very motivational, however motivation can only take you so far without the legs beneath you, he hasn't been able to stay in front of his man all preseason
His FG percentage is straight trash
He needs to just go ahead and call this his last rodeo and make a final tour while having fun out there, because winning a ring looking like this will only further his injuries and dilute his accomplishments.

LMAO :deadmanny:

Exactly.

Even Jordan knew when to tone it down to some degree in his last years in CHI. He knew the roster was loaded and he could let Pippen and the rest of the squad do most of the damage the first couple of quarters. Midway through the 3rd he would come in and son team because he saved his energy for the critical minutes of the game.
