I haven't used that word for another Black person since I was a kid. To me it's self-hate. I understand how it's slang and ingrained now, but I don't buy we took the word back. nikka and ****** are NOT tomato/tomahto. They don't even warrant the same reactions from most people.

Be black somewhere in public and hit that ER a little too hard and see if you don't turn some heads. Hell a black poster here got banned for saying it in a heated argument because his intent was to pull out the most vile word he could reach for to let the other person know how angry he was at him.

This is not to say you gotta agree with it's usage but I don't think context can be ignored when you talk about what blacks are accepting of in comparison to other "races" when none of those words have a place in common context besides being weaponized. Two Filipino kids calling themselves nikkas among themselves has nothing to do with racial epithets.

That being said i'm all for people limiting it's use in their vocabulary and not putting up with people speaking to you in a manner that you don't want to be spoken to.

Not everyone from Africa is black. Morrocans don't even especially like black, though there are black Morrocans. That said, your reasoning is indeed the reason people allow French Montana to say the N word despite the fact many North Africans are hateful and invidious towards blacks.
