Is Jay-Z the consensus GoAT at this point?

Easily the GoAT, yes?

Kingdom Come was a dope album.

I used to think rapping at 38 was ill
But last year along I grossed 38 mil
I know I ain't quite 38 but still
The flow so special it gotta 38 feel

BP3 and MCHG were utter trash...dude hasnt been nice since AG and if it wasnt for kanye carryin him around like a toy poodle these past few years he'd be on puffy status musically:stopitslime:

his business acumen is undeniable... but the smartest business move he ever made was marrying beyonce:stopitslime:

shawn carter-knowles:lolbron:

:what:

American Gangster
went platinum without a Kanye feature or production (also happens to be better than the album he had Kanye co-executive produce).

MCHG went platinum without a Kanye feature or production

Aside from Blueprint 3 and Watch The Throne, Kanye hasn't really made a significant contribution to Jay's career post-retirement. If we're to look at the quality of Jay's music, he's better without Kanye than he is with Kanye. If we're talking sales and relevance, Jay's latest album is more relevant than Kanye's and was easily the bigger album.

These past few years, one could argue that Jay has carried Ye. After Watch The Throne, one of them had album sales on par with that album and the other one didn't.

There'll never be a consensus, but Jay's definitely in the discussion. Personally, I prefer Pac, Nas, and Biggie over Jay.
