make sure yall vote with a clear head, consider the following:
1.) biggest mogul in hip hop (probably ever)
2.) biggest commercial presence throughout his career (starting from 96...almost 10 years on top)
3.) co-founder of one of the most successful hip hop labels

The difference between Jay Z and Nas is that Jay Z has proven that he can do with Nas can (lyricism, depth, abstract applications of philosophy and street life). Nas has NOT proven that he can do what Jay Z can (commercial longevity, QUALITY club music, QUALITY party songs, etc.). Say what you will about Jay, even if he's not the GOAT, he has a MUCH better case for himself than Nas does![]()
No, he can't.
When he tries, he sounds just as awkward as Nas does when he does club music.
I beg to differ. "Reasonable Doubt" is full of songs that do it and do it pretty well
Jay is very subtle with his shyt, a lot of his lyrics have so many ways that they could be interprted

exactly... nas can't do a drunk in love, or fukkwithmeyouknowigotit... and clearly king Hov can keep up with Nas proven by his we made it freestyle verse, or songs like Heaven and oceans.
add all the other stuff up, and you got yourself the GOAT
, and I haven't heard anybody better.
