Shawn Michaels was believable bc he was a previous veteran of being in a tag team, became a solo guy, worked upwards to fighting Bret, and had been wrestling since he was a teenager.

Miz was on a reality show and Vince saw that as being good for crossover.
The 2 are NOT comparable
That didn't mean shyt. Razor was a way bigger star in 96. Michaels being pushed was a huge mistake and a failure. Thank GOODNESS for Austin and Mike Tyson bailing them out after Rumble 98

Jinder had it and got it because something was going on at the time where WWE was really making a push to expand in India.

Pretty sure they did a show over there right after he got it.

IIRC he dropped the title before that show in India; he was supposed to face Brock at Survivor Series but WWE made the decision to have him drop the title to AJ Styles

You shouldn't let your hatred and bias cloud the truth.

Razor was a star, and he also hadn't resigned his contract most likely since wcw was on the horizon. Plus, if he had stayed he would have NO DOUBT been up for the winning the strap within a year or so.

But let's be honest, it worked out better because it allowed Austin to come up and then the Rock. Neither prob get the same shot if Razor and Diesel are around

I had ZERO faith in it. I legit thought he was gonna be a new heel for Guerrero to beat and move along to the next, then he was gonna be MAYBE a decent midcarder. Nah... this MF won the title and held it to the following Mania. I wasn't feelin' it in real time but I gotta admit he took the ball they gave him and ran with that shyt. He was a hell of a heel and it was the character that made him legit as a singles wrestler after numerous attempts in the past.

What truth? Shawn Michaels is a huge...colossal failure..dont let WWE documentaries make a mockery of your intelligence and common history.

Its like this..they chose Michaels over Razor and its obvious in 95 and 96 who the bigger star was. Rock and Austin were destined to shine if Razor stayed or not. Their will was Jordan-esque.
