Because he thinks the reason that Kobe isn't winning more championships is because they have surrounded him with Smush Parkers his whole career. It's the typical bottom of the barrel Kobestan thinking.

He's incapable of blaming Kobe for eating up so much of that cap space that had been earmarked for this free agency period. Where would the Spurs be if Duncan had done the same? Expecting a star to come play second fiddle to an old gimp on some gutted team with no other talent is ridiculous. But sure, lets just say theyre staying away because they don't want to be around Jim Buss.

Preach :lawd:

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
It's Kobe, to think otherwise is delusional, maybe if he were younger people would go there but if you're not KD or Bron, you go there knowing it'll be his team and even though he's coming off major injuries he's going to control the offense. On top of that he'll be making more money than you too.

If it were truly about Jim Buss, or an owner of a team in general, why the hell is anyone following LeBron to Cleveland? Kevin Love would sign an extension in Cleveland and play for Dan Gilbert.

Stop it, just stop it right now don't let your Tim loyalty and Kobe hatred blind you to the truth. dan gilbert is a dirtbag but he's no no way shape or form as terrible as jim buss. Absolutely no way at all. jim buss is the worst executive in all sports and is currently holding the Lakers hostage. No player with youth on his side is putting their trust in a guy that's managed to bring the GOAT franchise to the brink of destruction.

So you're saying Jim Buss is the worst executive in all of sports, you do realize that his major signing so far has been giving Kobe an extension.

Are you implying that giving an extension that takes up more than 1/3rd of your cap to a 35 year old man coming off a torn Achilles is what makes him the worst? :Guidedtoislam:

dog...Kobe is 35 years old coming off 2 injuries. its like yall refuse to use common sense when it comes to Kobe. I dont see top FA"s signing up to play with a 36 year old Dirk either. Is it not understandable that top FA's want to go to teams where they are either the clear-cut leader of the team (melo) or grow with younger talented players? It has nothing to do with Kobe being a cancer or whatever shyt yall like to say.

and Buss isnt that bad? :mjlol:

he hired Mike D'Antoni over Phil Jackson, enough said
It's perfectly understandable to me because I don't think that Kobe is a guy that another superstar would want to play with. Yes Kobe is 36 coming off major injuries but he also has a reputation of being hard on teammates and having a selfish attitude. It should be clear that Kobe is no longer capable of being the best player on a championship caliber team but does anyone really believe that he's going to fall back and play more of a secondary role? Would he have actually deferred to Melo?

The reason that some are getting a kick out of this is because we constantly here Kobe fans talking about how much he is respected and loved by other players. All of his peers supposedly love him and think of him as the best. It's just ironic.

Yes he is that bad. That's how I know you don't know shyt about this situation. Look, I know you guys really love to shyt on Kobe but this is one situation where he isn't at fault. What good is being in LA if you're not going to win Kobe or no Kobe? Players saw how jim chose to feed into a petty beef by hiring f'ucktoni over bringing in Phil like Dwight Howard wanted. Is that Kobe's fault too? Why would any young superstar want to play for a front office that'd choose petty female shyt like that over the right move?

Melo gave us the time of day just because of Kobe it damn sure wasn't because of the credentials of the guy making basketball decisions for the Lakers. You're not a Laker stan like me and some others so you don't understand the feud that exists between Phil and jim so I don't at all put it past him to relay the message to Carmelo that signing with the Lis a long term death sentence cuz it'll keep jim around and essentially keep bad management around with him. But whatever, I know you'll still believe Kobe and his measly 2 year contract had more blame than a front office that's shown itself to be garbage for multiple years now.
I've never discounted your criticisms of Buss but I think that you're overplaying them in order to completely absolve Kobe. I also never to put all of the blame on Kobe for FAs not coming, I said that he's a factor too. You can talk all day about Howard being disappointed in the hiring of Dantoni over Phil but we all know that Howard's dislike of Kobe was a factor too. If Buss was as bad as you all claim then why did Kobe sign that extension? Why was he so confident in LA's cap space and the possibility of adding pieces?

Nah, he was the worst LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNGGGGG before he made that stupid ass move. Who the hell signs an aging superstar to that kinda number before having seen him return from a potentially career ending injury? If that doesn't tell anyone on the outside that this front office is absolute shyt I don't know what to tell you. I just want Kobe to get his money, catch Kareem, and call it a day. Sooner or later the shareholders will get rid of jim buss when all the destruction becomes too much to bear.

But, his biggest move was locking up Kobe :Guidedtoislam:

I mean that's all we can really point to from him that's so egregious.

Dan Gilbert did as much as he could to burn bridges with LeBron and look what happened, he went back anyway. Players don't care about front offices at all. They care about where they're playing and who they're playing with.

The Lakers would have been a popular landing spot this offseason if Kobe had either retired or taken an appropriate contract. This is a fact. The only hostage taking was by Kobe. The front office is already irrationally blamed for the team getting :old: and :flabbynsick: the last thing they could do is partake in a contract standoff with one of the most adored and dikkridden Lakers in history. They had to give him what he wanted, and he wanted a shytload of money. He had no regard for the fact that he'd be playing with shyt for the rest of his career as a result because he knows his most loyal fans would blame Jim Buss for that anyway.

Kobe's legacy is important to him that's why he stayed. Plus why leave when you're the king of LA? I won't discount dwight's dislike of Kobe, but I wouldn't characterize every other players feelings on Kobe based on the feelings of a weak minded coward like dwight. So yeah, while its obvious Kobe played a role in dwight leaving I think the lack of leadership in the organization added to the fact that he never had a real interest in playing for the Lakers after Basketball Reasons were bigger reasons for his departure. It's a good thing dwight left at the end of the day he wasn't the right player to lead the franchise in the future.

I don't know about how Kobe would be alongside another superstar like Melo, I can only go off his Olympics experience. I think he'd do just fine, but I also think they don't want to share the team with him like he had to with Shaq especially with the shakiness of management. I don't really count dwight like that cuz he's too p*ssy to be around Kobe, didn't get the coach he wanted, and had no real interest in playing for LA.

But, his biggest move was locking up Kobe :Guidedtoislam:

Nah, his biggest move was drafting Bynum and making him a pet project. :sas1:

Refer to page 1 for the rap sheet on the detestable human being that is jim buss. :sas2:

And it's funny that the Buss haters constantly bring up those rumors about Dwight wanting Phil but they ignore the REASON he wanted Phil, which is that he thought Phil would rein Kobe in and let him be the star. That shyt obviously wasnt happening anyway but it shows that Kobe was the issue, not the coach.

All I'm reading from the "it's Kobe's fault side" is a bunch of random hatred and defense of the honor their favorite player being inferior to Bean. His salary is taking up this much of the cap, he's making this much the next 2 years, well guess the fukk what...We still had space to offer Carmelo the max and then re-sign Pau if we got Melo.

It's not about Kobe at all. The only reason Melo took an extended look at LA is BECAUSE OF BEAN. The fact is, nikkas been waiting a long time to throw shade at Bean. Whether it's owning the Spurs soul, pissing of MJ fans with his greatness, or just being an a$$hole and not giving a fukk about being PC or hurting people's feelings. This is the opportunity to pile on and shyt on him with full knowledge that right now he isn't in a position to fight back. A player of his stature can only fight back with championships and all the haters know he aint seeing no more championships. So now is the time try to make everybody forget about the last 17 years and focus on these last two.

BTW, it's the usual suspects with the same bullshyt to say about Kobe. You nikkas are comical!
