is John Wall really the quickest/fastest player in the League?

I've heard it said more times than I can count by analysts and heads on the internets that John Wall is the fastest/quickest player in the league

but the eye test tells me different, Russy and D.Rose definitely look more explosive

maybe it's because his style of play isn't as helter skelter as theirs are?

Both D-Rose and WestBrook have lost a step. Especially D-Rose. He's still a special talent but some of the explosiveness is not quite there anymore

But speed isnt all that makes Wall's game. He's improved other areas (jumper especially) which make defenders have to respect him on the perimeter so he can use that speed to blow by them

I've never seen anyone as fast as Wall from one baseline to the other with the ball in his hands.

If you see him in person, you'd be convinced. Its still amazing.

Westbrook is the only other that's as fast.

I remember watching him live in his rookie season :wow: and he only went that fast but now he's learned pace and controlling his speed.

In 2010-2012.. Wall only went one speed.

If you ever get to see Wall in person end to end dude is the fastest player in the league not to mention Rose admitted Wall is faster than him.

Sure. Muscle memory. Riiiight :beli:

Not really, he's came out before the season and said that he wasn't trying to dunk or make contact with people. He was trying to focus on playing within the flow of the offense and transform his game, when he does crank it up though he has big nights where he looks the same as before. Look at the Portland game, or more recently, the San Antonio game.
