SirBiatch is obviously some kid from the burbs trolling.

If your woman is running her mouth because you won't watch Real Housewives of where fukking ever, do you argue with her?

No.

You go in the other room and watch your show.

SirBiatch is that woman.

This needs to be said

:francis:

Here's the hard truth for you old heads. You're looking at the wrong issue. The problem is not that rappers are soft nowadays. The real issue you have to confront is that Rap is not the same genre it was in the 80/90s.

Bigger still, America is not the same nation it was during the Golden age.

I'm in my mid 20s.

My generation is doing away with the classic concept of masculinity.

:francis:

If you go look on reddit and other mainstream sites. They're siding with kanye and turning on Wiz/Amber.

:francis:

Amber is especially receiving backlash for promoting homophobia and shaming Kanye for his sexual kinks.

In a climate like that i don't see Feminine/softcore rappers going anywhere.

:francis:

Gen Z is in the midst of a social revolution. For better or worse, my generation is doing away with gender roles, the concepts of masculinity/femininity, and other forms of rigid sexual identification. Instead we are promoting sexual fluidity, "social libertarianism", "free love", moral relativsm, and generally speaking, a society where it is taboo to judge anyone for anything (unless of course it goes against any of the values I named above).

If you feel disconnected now, wait till you see the media campaign for the first major openly gay rapper.

:francis:

The way it should be. :wow:

softcore/feminine rap was never cool.

it just gave a spotlight/voice to all the softcore/feminine people that were already walking around.

Drake is the biggest rapper in the game.
LL was the biggest 30 years ago. Ain't nothing changed but the age of you off brand oldies.

lol @ comparing ll cool j to drake.

Emo is really never going to die as the large drawing main stream genre for pop and exclusively rap.
As the actual underground draw and group it appeals to is the white female and then male rap fan.
White female are the main drawing demographic and the largest gateway drawing underground lane for all music.
Most people in support of rap are white women and they have an emo genre drawing lane for all types of rap.
after all rap pretty much has been converted to some form of emo genre direction and base.
From alternative advant gard all the way to pop gangsta rap is all emo.
As a matter of fact, damn near all of music is emo ij some form or another.
While any hardcore based music that is strictly hardcore has some marketed emo appeal to it.
Example hardcore gangsta rap created the opening draw for emo as a pop draw with the dead homies record.
So, now even hardcore rap is controlled. by some mechanism of emo, predominately moving forward.
