I'm not convinced that Kendrick has released an album better than Below the Heavens. But because of certain co-signs Kendrick gets to play on a grander stage. He's a good rapper but his strength of schedule is weaker than cats that came up before him. There are honestly probably 50 rappers I'd throw on before putting on Kendrick.

I'm sure you can name 50 lyrical miracle rappers better than Kendrick on a technical level but there aren't many with a catalog as consistent.
