I didlisten to his last album..
not a fan of cudi since his first mixtape/album. but i actually fw this album heavy. in fact, insides out is one of my favorite off the tape.
and putting whitest and music next to each other don't make sense in this country if my people aint involved. u cacs don't innovate shyt.
this thread is exactly why sb2h is what tpab was suppose to be.
y'all callin this man out of his culture for doing something that's a part of his culture. then got the nerve to put cac cobain up on some comparative pedestal like that's how rock suppose to be done. u cacs is forever fukkin bold n cowardly. kenny album fit into the box u cacs want to put my people in. so that's suppose to be the "pro-black" album. foh. sb2h is the album for my people.
and u cacs can't tell me shyt, cause u can never understand. like kenny said, it's in MY dna. fukk all your cac stats.![]()
so thats where this little nikkas in angst get it from?
what about when Young Dro made this techno record.
Cudi's not really an hip hop artist, and artists don't get points for creativity/versatility. They get points for making good music, and he didn't with this albumBeen trying to tell my nikkas to get on some rock. It;s OUR shyt. We fukking created the music! White people just stole it and "innovated" it, they built on it on their own way but it was always OUR music created by some of the greatest black musicians of all time.
This album has grown on me and is one of my favorite Kid Cudi albums just because of the rawness of it. The emotion you hear in Cudi's vocals (as bad as they are at times) but you can tell the man is literally trying to pour his heart into the music,. You can tell this album was an attempt to capture a feeling or feelings he had during the recording of the album and that's genius in itself. YOu hear the darkness in the songwriting and the atmosphere of the production and this was with Cudi doing most of the production. It's just very impressive. The music is not for everyone and thats understandable but I wish bruhs would at least see the attempt and creativity it took to create an album like this from a hip hop artist
