Is Kobe the greatest "On Fire" Scorer ever?

Man, people can't even give Kobe a back handed compliment around here? No one is saying he's a better scorer than Jordan or any other greats, but when he's on it's one of the GOAT level peak performances we've seen. Jordan, the GOAT, has plenty of GOAT like moments, but Kobe is one of the few players that can say, for even just a moment (game/week/month) he can look just as good if not better.

Kobe's career PPG shows that he has had waaay more off nights when compared to other great scorers. Only the stans will try to say he's still better overall when looking at raw stats. But the heads who been watching the game for years see performances like Kobe's 81 or outscoring Dallas through 3q, etc etc. It's one of the craziest things we've seen to date in the league.

Melo's kinda got some of this in him as well. Melo isn't close to being a GOAT scorer, but when he's on he's one of the funnest players to watch in the last decade.

Easily, if you see his top single game scoring performances he was shooting 60% in most of those games. High 50's too.

Here are simple facts. Despite playing more seasons than Jordan or Kevin Durant, Kobe has fewer scoring titles than either. Despite scoring 81 points in a regular season game, Kobe only has 1 50 point game in the playoffs (an overtime game against a team that played poor defense) Despite taking 47 shots in a game, kobe missed 30 of them, setting an all time record for shots missed.

The only reason you idiots talk about the "on fire" games is that Kobe regularly shot like an idiot despite being cold. He was a middle class man's iverson, not a poor man's jordan.
