Yeah you definitely one of the more knowledgeable dudes when it comes to his game. Can't argue with that.

It's crazy because I remember being totally shocked by his emergence. Like you said, most of his career was forgettable (whether that's due to injuries, beef with coaches, attitude, whatever it was). I don't know if I've ever seen a player turn 28 and become and start playing at an all star or elite level. In general, seeing both Lowry and Curry's emergence into allstar and superstar respectively has flat out made me question just how many players flat out have their talents misunderstood and are underutilized. I know Curry's had his ankle problems but it feels like we're still grasping who he is as a player in some ways.....I know I didn't go into this year thinking Curry would improve on his 2015 campaign yet his usage rate increased 4 percent just from last season to this season and we've seen a positive linear correlation between his usage and his team's offensive efficiency. GS goes from a great offense to one of the best in NBA history. That's just flat out not normal.

But yeah back in 2014, I remember reading this article on FiveThirtyEight and they talk about using SPM (Statistical Plus Minus) to determine a team's best players and if they're good enough to be the front man on a championship team. I found it interesting that Kyle Lowry and Joakim Noah were 1 SD above average. I remember thinking both were having an incredible impact on their teams but I wasn't at a point where I knew much about analytics and advanced stats to put it into numbers but still I found it eye opening in some ways.
