Wade and Bron are a great duo but Shaq and Kobe had the whole league shook and teams were happy when they were beefing and elated when they broke up. I remember cats like T-mac and AI being envious of Kobe playing with Shaq and they just basically conceded that the Lakers would win the title every year. Shaq and Kobe could have got at least 8 rings together if they were on the same page.

They were pretty mediocre for most of the regular season but then won 18 of their last 25 games and 8 games straight going into the playoffs. They didn't lose a single game in the span of two months (steak started in April and ended in June).

Kareem was much older than Magic, so the shift was more natural. Shaq is only 4 years or so older than Kobe so both were in their primes at the same time really and they both wanted to be the alpha dog.

No. Kobe/Shaq was the perfect inside/out combo and every other team was either backcourt heavy or frontcourt heavy and talent was spread way too thin.

You got OKC today with a comparable combo that's even younger. The Grizzlies always gave them problems with their frontcourt and athletes on the wings. The Heat have issues with rebounding and interior defense due to their lack of size. They are able to get away with it because big man play is :flabbnsick: in today's game.

no way, much harder to defend the inside outside game of shaq/kobe, then 2 perimeter oriented players.

Shaq/Kobe are the most feared OFFENSIVE tandem in NBA history IMO.
